I believe this was a dating app fraud. Linked with a person from Twinby, they directed me to their uncle who supposedly works at Walter Scott, an Edinburgh based firm. Foolishly I did transfer money to the site and the money is still held there which I can see, however it’s asking me for more personal information to withdraw the money. I stopped there.
After calling Walter Scott, they did not confirm any employee under their names. I called various companies to check the fund legitimacy such as FCA. They confirmed that this site maybe impersonating a sub fund under Ninety One Management. I investigated the issues with Ninety One Management, this is still work in progress. I reported this to Report Fraud.Police.
